"Technology is good, but it can be better." It's advancing faster and taking less time to be widely adopted than ever before like as in it took roughly 10,000 years to go from writing to the printing press, but only about few hundred years more to get to the email. Now it seems we're at the dawn of a new age, the age of AI (Artificial Intelligence). Let's define it. AI is a theory and development of computer systems that perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages (and a bit more). There you have it. What does it mean? Many people are working on it, Most people don't know that much about it, and of course, there's no shortage of data or opinions. Anyway, I've heard it said that the best way to learn about a subject is to teach it. But to level with you all, I have a wildly incomplete education. Not in my day job, where I've been IT-Nerd close to a decade. But, I figured now would be as good a time as any to catch up on the state of things regarding this emerging phenomenon. My sense of it is it feels like a fish bun. You never know anything until it's opened; much of my innocent understanding on this topic has come over the years from sci-fi stories, novels, cartoons. Like most things, I suspect the truth is probably somewhere in the middle of fiction and real accomplishments. Now, along the way, you and I will clear out some common misconceptions about things we thought we understood but probably don't. Terms such as "machine learning," "algorithms," "computer vision," and "Big Data" will be thoroughly explained to help you, and I feel like we know what we're doing.
Data science is a collection of Data inference, algorithm development and technology, focusing on to solve analytically complex problems. At the center, there is data, there are more valuable raw information streaming through the Internet and stored in enterprise data warehouses, what data science doing is, using all that data in more intelligent and creative ways to process and produce insights/information which is used to generate business value, in other way data science helps us to do quantitative data analysis, to make strategic business decisions, just about anything. There is a side of data science, it's all about uncovering findings from data, it's called "discovery of data insight". whats happening with this is, we look at data in the smallest level we can, and with all the data mining tools, we can understand complex behaviors, trends. It's about revealing hidden information that can help users and companies(mostly companies) to make smarter
